It's been a long time since I've posted because I've been posting so much on our Facebook page.
I got a better and less expensive attorney in Dallas, and she did a fabulous job. Unfortunately the judge decided that Jared is not in mortal danger and transfered custody to Summit County, Ohio, where they assigned a guardian ad litem to do home studies. Home studies have been done in just the past week, and now we wait. The hearing will be in mid May, and we won't get the final decision until mid July.
I have a good job now -- I'm an elementary music teacher for Dallas ISD -- so our financial situation is not as grave, but I definitely do not make enough money to pay for the attorney in Ohio, plus legal/travel fees for the guardian, not to mention travel fees for myself and for Jared. I've hardly gotten any donations on this site, but I figured it can't hurt to continue to make our needs known. But first and foremost we need prayers so please keep them coming.
